Sad: GLO has Increased subscription Price on most Data plans

what is Glo new price for data plans

  Our dear GLO which has always been giving us a slight value for our money via Data plans have just decided to break our hearts. Today, they made an update and slashed all data plans by half but retaining the same price. The Data plan that ₦2,500 used to give which was formerly 10GB has been reduced to 5GB. Even after their Network service has worsened, they still decided to do this!

ALSO READ: How to check the people sharing your Glo Data plan with you

Below are the former Glo data plans and the prices

N1000 = 3.2GB
N2000 = 7.5GB
N2500 = 10GB
N3000 = 12GB

But from today, we'll be seeing the prices below

N1000 = 1.6GB
N2000 = 3.75GB
N2500 = 5GB
N3000 = 6GB

All these above are monthly subscription which would be valid for 30 days. The data code still remains *777#

With this new development, their prices are similar to MTN data plans. Will you still stick with them?

How to see the people sharing your GLO data plan with you

See who is sharing my data

Sharing of Data plan with family and friends can be nice until someone takes your phone and adds himself without your consent. We have to admit that checking our data balance later can make you start thinking if those sharing your data with you are drinking it. Lol. I vividly recall the time Glo Network totally vanished so I had to switch to Mtn, only for me to switch back to Glo after some days to notice some gigabytes had gone. It was the people sharing my data with me.

ALSO READ: How to Subscribe to GLO 1GB Night Plan for N200

Now, we already know the steps for adding a Glo number to our shared list by dialing *777# and following the prompt commands. But there isn't any option to check your shared list other than just sharing and unsharing. Now, I'll disclose a simple USSD code to view the numbers currently sharing your data plan with you.

  • Simply dial *127*00# from your Glo number and the list would be displayed to you.

I Hope this helps someone.

The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO: went on an Indefinite strike on the 17th of February after an aggressive protest took place in the school premises which led to the damage and theft of school properties. The cause of this action was due to the Increase in fees, and the condition students were subjected to.The resumption date had been announced twice but was postponed.

Just recently, through an official Memo, we were told resumption would be on 24th April 2016. Although I didn't like this development, people were already waiting eagerly for resumption. Yesterday, April 19th, 2017, another Senate meeting took place, and a new resumption date was Announced.

  • Year 1 students are to return on Monday, May 8, 2017.

My Experience with and why you should Avoid them

 When I opened this blog in November 2015, I never knew how bloggers made their money, I just felt good when I was getting traffic and comments. I started visiting tutorial blogs like where I understood what blog monetization was all about including Adsense. I didn't apply for adsense at that time but I started testing other Ad networks like Adquet and Around January 2016, I was earning about $0.30 - 0.50 daily on with threshold being $50, I was determined to reach it and cash out. Anyway, I think I removed them when I was on $5 to test other Ad networks and didn't place them back since I finally got an adsense account around March.

Fast forward to October 2016, I decided to test them again by placing their codes and believe me, I was enjoying the performance. Earnings was from $2-5 daily and it took me about 3 weeks to earn $73.

ALSO READ: How to sign up for a Payoneer card and get free $25

According to them, they pay the previous months earnings up to $50 on the 15th of the next month, so I was expecting my $73 which is approximately N28,000 on the 15th of December to my PayPal account, already made plans for the money anyway. Dec 15th came and I didn't get any mail or payment from them. I waited till 17th before calling them, after talking to the customer care agent, she gave me assurance that I'd be paid once they were done checking my account, that I should be patient...

Up till January, I didn't get any payment so I had to call again, I was told my account wasn't checked yet, but this is something Adsense do within a day!!!.  I waited till January ending then called again. This time, when I told her my username, she stopped talking, she just kept quiet on the phone, and you know the cost of calling a USA number right here from Nigeria. Anyway, I still decided to call with a different phone number and I was told to still wait, this was like 2 months after payment date and my hard earned money was still no where to be found.

I went over to Google search to look for Adclickmedia payment proof and I found some bloggers posting screenshots and all of them were praising this ad network. Like seriously??? Damn! Anyway, I found a thread on Digital point, you can read it ➨ Here where some bloggers were complaining on not being paid. I was able to find a fellow Nigerian blogger, the owner of who told me his account was deleted. What a scam Ad network!!!

If I call their number now, I'm always being redirected to the voice mail and I have to come to the fact that I am not ever getting my $73 from them.

I had to write this review and be as transparent as possible because I noticed most bloggers praised them in their posts, may be out of ignorance or just for getting referrals, but I wish to advice all bloggers to not waste their time with them. You can check other exclusive ⇏ blogging tips

Have you tried Adclickmedia before? How was your experience with them? Kindly drop Your comments Below so we can discuss.

The hinge seems to be well made and keeps the display well in place as set up, but at the same time doesn’t allows to lift up the screen with a single hand, but it goes flat to 180 degrees on back. The manufacturer installed a 14-inch high-quality matte display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Two audio speakers are placed on the bottom of the device, they are quite loud and sound alright. There is a camera placed on top of the screen, it’s quality is not the best, but will do just fine for video calls. The laptop uses an island-style keyboard with single-stage backlight for easy typing in the dark. The keys have a medium speed and excellent responsiveness, which is very important for a fast and error-free typing. There is a large plastic trackpad beneath the keyboard. Its surface is a little rougher for a better grip with a finger. The battery will last up to 10 hours working a text editor with minimum brightness of the display.
